Tony Staggs called the meeting to order at 9:00am. Linda Stepp made a motion to accept the minutes and Brad Jones seconded, the motion carried.

 COORDINATOR’S & FINANCIAL REPORT

Gene Toole attended the region 7 meeting July 20th. He made a presentation on the data we had collected, which is complete. Data collection will be compiled into overheads for the next meeting. We do have some weak links. Parental involvement is a weak area. Our county is one of the top 2-3 in the region. Ted Strickland was at the regional meeting.

On July 24th we read our region 7 proposal, it will be funded.

On July 30th, Gene met with Don Young, Tom Potts, and Debbie Everhart to discuss apprenticeships/internships for the coming school year. They compiled a list of interested students. They will meet next week as Weastec has a need for students the first week of school.

Gene received a letter from the Ohio Department of Education in July asking for return of the remaining Weastec grant monies. Gene has called STW-Dale Lehman who is to take care of the problem. We had an extension till September 30. Gene will be sure money is spent by the deadline.

Linda Stepp reported on the grant process. Presently we have submitted a Region 7 grant for $20,000 and a state grant for $85,000. We could possibly have a site visit in September. Linda also introduced Eddie Butcher and he gave an overview of the Cisco Academy.
