Andrew Culbertson called the meeting to order at 9:05am. Tony Staggs made a motion to accept the minutes and Katie Robertson seconded, the motion carried.
COORDINATOR’S & FINANCIAL REPORT
Gene Toole has requested the $10,000 from the region, didn’t think that it had been received by the fiscal agent. Data collection will amount to approximately $1600 for administration and purchase of coop software. Local brochures will cost $150-$200. $7500 committed for mini-grants.
The Adams County/Ohio Valley School Board hired Gene Toole as Career Education/STW Coordinator during it’s regular board meeting. Gene has begun data collection which is due by August 1. Work has begun on the internship/apprenticeship program for the 98-99 school year. Gene met with juniors at NAHS prior to the end of the school year and brainstormed the possibilities. Mr. Toole also met with Ms. Blevins, WUHS and Mr. Kimble MHS. Some ideas include spreading the program over the three trimesters and limiting placements such as family businesses/farms, in home school, etc.
